Dogs get biotin – albeit in small amounts – mainly from their food. However, the amount of biotin formed by the intestinal flora is usually not sufficient for the requirement.

Biotin deficiency makes it noticeable as follows:

– the hair becomes dry, brittle, brittle and eventually falls out
– the skin flakes off, the animal shows itching
– the claws become soft and brittle

In order to avoid the damage mentioned, the daily biotin supply should be guaranteed.

1 heaped teaspoon per 10kg body weight (max. 5 teaspoons per day)
